Brand Identity
A Small Business Rebrand Checklist
· 5 min read
Most small business owners come to a rebrand with a Pinterest board and a feeling. That is a fine place to start, but a little prep work makes the difference between a logo refresh and a real brand.
Before our first call, I ask clients for three things. One — a list of every place your current brand shows up: signage, packaging, social, vehicles, uniforms, invoices. Two — a short paragraph on the customer you want more of, not the one you already have. Three — the one competitor whose brand you secretly admire, and one sentence on why.
That is enough to start. You do not need brand guidelines, a mission statement, or a mood board. You need clarity on where the brand lives, who it is for, and what good looks like to you. The rest is my job.
